About

Hi, I'm Jeremy.

I design for decisions people have to get right the first time: a Hurricane Florence response map built in 24 hours, Medicaid and Medicare portals at Centene, multi-family deals I invest in for the long hold. Four chapters, one thread.

The thread

How the chapters connect

Every domain puts someone in front of a decision they can't easily undo. The medium changes — pixels, portals, buildings, prototypes — but the job is the same: reduce noise until the right call is obvious.

What I do now

Member-first delivery at Centene

At Centene I lead design for Medicaid and Medicare member portals, our design system (Fondue), pharmacy benefits migration, and secure member modernization. Most of the people we serve aren't commercial payers; they're on government-sponsored coverage and need plain language on benefits, pharmacy, and care. Accessibility standards are part of how we govern components, not a one-time audit.

How I lead

I coach designers to reduce noise until the right moment is obvious, whether we're shipping a pharmacy flow, governing a component library, or running a critique.

  • Programs: Pharmacy benefits migration and secure member portal modernization on a single Fondue-based framework.
  • People: I built a team of 30+ designers and accessibility specialists, grew promotions from within, and coach through critique and clear ownership.
  • Systems: I modernized Fondue (our design system) into a partner-friendly platform where design tokens and code deploy together, with accessibility standards in governance.
  • Design ops: I operationalize agentic workflows with shared standards and review gates so the whole team benefits, not just early adopters.
  • Geospatial roots: Years at Ball Aerospace, Boundless, and Omni Federal making dense, high-stakes spatial data usable. It is where I learned to design for decisions and lead engineering partnerships.

Away from the desk

Multi-family investing and making at home are parallel chapters, not side hobbies. I underwrite apartments with the same rigor I bring to product discovery, and I prototype in my office — 3D printers, a laser engraver, and a homelab — before anything earns a place on my team.
